HOW DOES BOTOX WORK?

IS BOTOX PAINFUL?
Most patients report minimal discomfort during the procedure. The injections are performed using a very fine and small needle, and any discomfort is usually brief. We offer numbing cream and/or ice to make the experience more comfortable.
HOW SOON WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Results typically begin to appear within 3 to 5 days after treatment, with full effects visible within 10 to 14 days.
HOW LONG DO THE EFFECTS OF BOTOX LAST?
The effects of Botox usually last between 3 to 4 months. Over time, muscle activity gradually returns, and wrinkles may reappear, requiring repeat treatments to maintain results. With consistent treatments, some individuals may require less frequent sessions.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
Common side effects include mild bruising, swelling, tenderness or redness at the injection site. Some patients may experience temporary headaches or slight drooping of the eyelid, which typically resolves within a few weeks.
WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR BOTOX?
Adults who are in good health and want to reduce the appearance of dynamic wrinkles (wrinkles caused by muscle movement) are good candidates for Botox. Botox treatments are not advised when pregnant or breastfeeding, and individuals with certain neurological or medical conditions should consult their healthcare provider before treatment.

HOW MUCH DOES BOTOX COST?
The cost of Botox varies depending on the number of units required for the treatment area. A consultation with us can give a more accurate estimate. We charge $8 per unit.
CAN I GO BACK TO WORK AFTER A BOTOX TREATMENT?
Yes! Botox requires little to no downtime, and most patients return to their regular activities immediately after treatment. It is however recommended to avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat, and lying down for at least 4 hours after the procedure to minimize treatment irregularities/side effects.
CAN BOTOX BE COMBINED WITH OTHER COSMETIC TREATMENTS?
Yes! Botox is often combined with dermal fillers, chemical peels, or laser treatments to achieve comprehensive facial rejuvenation. We do however, recommend receiving Botox treatments on separate days of other treatments.
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY BOTOX TREATMENT?
-Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications (such as Aspirin and Ibuprofen) for at least 24 to 48 hours before treatment to reduce the risk of bruising.
- Inform your provider of any medications or supplements you are taking.
- Stay hydrated and get a good night's rest before your appointment.
- Arrive with a clean face, free of makeup or skincare products.
- Avoid scheduling your treatment close to major events to allow time for any potential side effects to subside.
